Can you please clarify that sound from the *host* system is distorted - when VirtualBox is running; but is OK when VB is not running?
And that the sound from the VB guest system is OK?

Yes. This bug is makes itself both on mi AMD laptop host and AMD desktop host.

This bug prove after last 2 or 3 update virtualbox.

Sound without running virtualbox container is ok.

Does it happen at light load, or only when CPU is much used?
- does it help if you limit how many cores the guest may use?

Very light CPU is used. 1-5%

@Dusan
Just to tell us about your system, can you post the output of:
 $ inxi -MSAxx
for either machine (since both show the problem).

Thank you for the system information.

Assigning this to kernel/hardware. It is an unusual complaint.

After turning off the sound or changing the output to alsadriver in the virtualbox manager settings (in the Audio section), the artifacts are lost.
