Does this work with LibreOffice in other distro's, does anybody know? I didn't find anything upstream, I tried several search strings, like https://bugs.freedesktop.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=ALL+libreoffice+%22file+manager%22+%22new+document%22 And I wonder how many people used this feature for OOo, I never knew it was there.

mageia 2 alpha3 x86_64 pb still valid
(In reply to comment #7) > mageia 2 alpha3 x86_64 > > pb still valid Thx for checking cc'ing some people of whom I think they're familiar with different distro's @ Remco @ Frederik @ Isadora If you have a non-Mageia distro with Libre Office and with KDE, can you please tell whether you can create a LO document by: * right clicking in a folder in Dolphin and then * choosing to create a LO document in the context menu that appears?

It is possible to create new text-documents, or spreadsheets and such, but.........not through LibreOffice from a standard point-of-view. When creating by right-clicking in a "Dolphin-folder", such actions will point one to the KDE-applications, like KWord and KSpread. Probably this attitude is possible to be overwritten, but not through "System Settings", or through Dolphin itself, afaics. This is what i learned from the options in Fedora 16.
@ Isa dora Thanks :) Well, this isn't possible in Fedora either, so it looks more like an upstream issue or choice. @ D Morgan @ mikala Is it wrong to think that this can only be fixed in Dolphin and that there is nothing LibreOffice can do to make this possible? (in KDE bugzilla I didn't find a bug report/ enhancement request about this issue, btw)

This message is a reminder that Mageia 1 is nearing its end of life. In approximately 25 days from now, Mageia will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Mageia 1. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX (EOL) if it remains open with a Mageia 'version' of '1'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Mageia version prior to Mageia 1's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Mageia 1 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Mageia, you are encouraged to click on "Version" and change it against that version of Mageia. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Mageia release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. -- Mageia Bugsquad
