Sinse some updates, every time after login, I get the notification, the battery of the external wireless keyboard is quite empty. But I'm working on a Asus Vivobook Flip 15 under Gnome3 I didn't find out how to tell the system that I don't have any external keyboard or where I can disable this notification. Do you know how i can solve this disagreament. uname -a Linux mai.roe.local 5.10.37-desktop-2.mga8 #1 SMP Mon May 17 16:35:04 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Hi, thanks reporting this. This seems a driver bug or a GNOME issue if you use this Desktop. Can you provide us the output of: $ inxi -MSGANxx
Component: Release (media or process) => RPM PackagesCC: (none) => ouaurelien
Summary: wrong HW detection, no wireless keyboard present, but notation battery empty => Low battery notification for non-existing wireless keyboard

Ah. Just answered in the msgs to the contact address ... Left click on the solaar icon in the system tray, left click on unifying receiver, left click on the entry for the keyboard, and select the unpair button.

So it's a touchscreen with a pen being used as the keyboard device and the batteries in the pen needs to be replaced.
pen checked: Type: SPEN-ASU-04 Battery: Energizer AAAA Battery voltage: 1.57V remark: investigation in the web show the pen communicate with the touchscreen with a low frequency between 7 and 44khz. Asus seems to misuse a chip set of EZTouchFilter, a manufacturer of touchscreen fixtures to be mount on the front of standard displays and which are powered by battery.
Install some new Mesa library update (21.1.1) yesterday evening, notification disappear. This issue can be closed.
Thanks for the update. Closing the bug. Please reopen it if the problem recurs.
Status: NEW => RESOLVEDResolution: (none) => FIXED
Also I was just thinking, if you removed the battery to test it's voltage and replaced it into the pen, it may just have been a bad contact between the battery and the connectors which was fixed by the re-seating rather then by an update (like banging on a an old style flashlight). Just adding this info for anyone who comes across the same problem.
