Description of problem: I took the liberty of packaging syncthing for Mageia 8 and I'd like to see it added to the official Mageia repos. Anyone want to help out to make this happen? Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.16.1

If needed I can add my created packages to my drive and add a link here.
Thank you for the effort. We have had syncthing, but dropped it due to the packagers we have better spend their precious time on other stuff as there are other ways to run it - I use syncthing-gtk flatpack now, have been using appimage. If you or someone else step up as packager for it and promise to keep it updated, I offer o test. Else, this will be eventually closed as resolved wontfix, like earlier bugs in it, see: https://bugs.mageia.org/buglist.cgi?component=RPM Packages&list_id=135536&product=Mageia&query_format=advanced&short_desc=syncthing&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr

The program installs, but fails to run due to a problem with the %tag value. I'll change that line and rebuild and test again. If it doesn't get added to official repos at least I have a local version in case anyone else want to use the preferred install method.
Many many bundled golang stuff in proposed spec. Unsure if this is OK according to our policy. And this was dropped in Mageia 7... Adding some golang experts here for advices.

I can't speak for them, but here's the license for golang: https://golang.org/LICENSE It clearly states: Redistribution and use in source and binary forms, with or without modification, are permitted provided that the following conditions are met: * Redistributions of source code must retain the above copyright notice, this list of conditions and the following disclaimer. * Redistributions in binary form must reproduce the above copyright notice, this list of conditions and the following disclaimer in the documentation and/or other materials provided with the distribution. * Neither the name of Google Inc. nor the names of its contributors may be used to endorse or promote products derived from this software without specific prior written permission. Conclusion: I therefor see NO problems with using this.
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26158#c5 Closing as won't fix unless it can be clearly explained what has changed since then to make it easier to maintain.
