Description of problem:The resynthesizer, bimp, and liquid rescale plugins are now not in Mageia 8 for Gimp Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mageia 8 and Gimp How reproducible: Search this plugins in rpmdrake Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to rpmdrake 2. Search the plugins 3. This plugins are missing in Mageia 8
I think this is due to the end of python 2 cycle, but these plugins are really needed in Gimp for me, and for any user who uses it for photography workflow and image editing. Could we keep the dependencies for these plugins working until they are ported to python 3? In Mageia 7 they worked perfectly.
Thank you for reporting Related: We have recently re-added two other plugins: bug 28515, bug 28443 Do you know if the three you list are the last ones missing, or there may be even more?

Any news here?? Greetings.
The languages were dropped in ... https://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/gimp-help/current/SPECS/gimp-help.spec?r1=1420882&r2=1420881&pathrev=1420882 Assigning to David Geiger as the packager who committed that change. CC Matteo Pasotti and Chris Denice as the packagers registered for the other plugins that appear never to have been built during Mageia 8 development.

I did import two of them, astronomy and separate, I'll have a look to both, they're indeed useful provided they still work with the new version. I suspect David dropped them because they were not working anymore. For the wavelet, it is included in gimp now, filter -> enhance -> wavelet decompose
More specifically because they were unmaintained and not working with Gimp 3.x.

Assigning now to QA! So finally I just work on this bug and reintroduce some gimp 2.0 plugins which were present in mga7, I also fixed the missing Slovenian and Swedish translations. The two remaining plugins on gimp-python and gimp-resynthesizer still depends on python2 so we have to do without them. Hi, I have tried the new versions, work fine for me, but, I have installed the plugins, ufraw and dcraw conflict and cannot be installed together.
Assuming it should be possible to have ufraw and dcraw installed together.

Ok, so useless and old conflicts should be fixed with: Updated packages in core/updates_testing: ======================== gimp-plugin-ufraw-0.22-18.2.mga8 ufraw-0.22-18.2.mga8 ufraw-batch-0.22-18.2.mga8 dcraw-9.28.0-6.3.mga8 gimp-plugin-dcraw-9.28.0-6.3.mga8 From SRPMS: ufraw-0.22-18.2.mga8.src.rpm dcraw-9.28.0-6.3.mga8.src.rpm
