Hello, First I'm sorry if the sentence is not the original one, LC_ALL=C dolphin didn't switch it back to english. When trying to re-attach my ftp server using FTPES, I was expecting a new window to fill the options, instead, kwrite (I guess) opened the desktop file. > [Desktop Entry] > Name=KNetAttach > [...] > GenericName=Network Folder Wizard > [...] > Exec=knetattach > InitialPreference=6 > Icon=knetattach > Type=Application > Terminal=false > X-KDE-StartupNotify=true > Categories=Qt;KDE;Network;RemoteAccess; > X-DocPath=knetattach/index.html > NoDisplay=true > X-DBUS-ServiceName=org.kde.knetattach Open dolphin, on the left panel (if not closed), under "remote", open "Network", launch the last entry "Ajouter un dossier réseau" (probably "Add a directory on the network") opens the desktop file with kwrite.
Without having any network, Dolphin under Mate, "Remote/Network" in LH pane -> "Add network folder" in the main pane does nothing at all. Asking Aurélien to try this.

No. The "Add Network Folder" (Ajouter un dossier réseau en français) icon in Network section of the Remote page of Dolphin is a .desktop file that should launch KNetAttach program. Dolphin, since 20.12 version, no longer open arbitrary .desktop file that are not in a real Menu directory or created by user. Instead, it will ask you to review it or execute it. It has a checkbox "Don't ask again" that you should check when you choose to execute. And now, KNetAttach launches correctly.

Reproduced on new VM. As previously said in Comment 2, this is strange that a .desktop file is here, as there is a "Add Network Folder" in tool bar. It seems to come from nowhere. Assigning to KDE maintainers. I have not checked Cauldron.

Something interesting: https://github.com/KDE/dolphin/commit/33270dd4423eea329b8f20db17f8d70ab7b108da https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/kio/-/merge_requests/260 One more time it is something which seems fixed with Kf5 5.78!
