Using Pidgin with XMPP (Jabber account) works pretty good except for message encryption using OMEMO. The library needed in order to add OMEMO support to pidgin is "lurch", which adds OMEMO support to the purple library.

Hi, thanks requesting this. For "lurch", I do some homework not belonging to a Bugsquad member: Website: https://github.com/gkdr/lurch Licence: GPL-3 Based on this, this package request is valid. Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes. You, Muhammad Tailounie, might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager (Packagers: Please set the status to 'assigned' if you are working on it)

I am working on apfs right now, but still have not been able to get a working RPM. I might give lurch a try though and check with my mentor. :)
