An upgrade to new MGA9 Cauldron with 

# dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=cauldron --allowerasing

would fail, as python3-dnf-plugin-system-upgrade would erase itself. Not very trustworthy!

Hi, thanks reporting this.

Python 3.9 is in Cauldron.
DNF uses python 3.8. It must be rebuild.

It would work, but you wouldn't be able to do it again. :P

But yeah we need to rebuild it...

This should be fixed now with dnf-plugins-extras-4.0.13-2.mga9.

It'll sync out to the mirror network over the next 6-12 hours.
