Description of problem: I'had downloaded from a long time ago nightingale_1.12.1-2454_linux-x86_64.tar.bz2 which worked well with mga7

I see you have the last version released. - Nine years ago.

I see there is a source tarball at
https://getnightingale.com/all-versions.php

So you may try to compile yourself but i think it will be incompatible anyway.

I tend to close this as invalid as it is a foreign package, that also is discontinued upstreams and is old on the software timescale. Even their forum last post is from 2016...

Comment 3 Morgan Leijström 2021-03-27 20:06:27 CET
This is not a package we carry, nor will.

If there is something broken in Mageia that cause the problem, please reopen.

Comment 4 peter lawford 2021-03-27 23:33:19 CET
nightingale seems to be discontinued, and the site "alternativeto" (https://alternativeto.net/software/nightingale/?platform=linux) shows at least 4 alternatives to nightingale carried by mageia, say vlc, amarok, clementine and strawberry, and possibly others
