DaVinci Resolve is not packaged in our distribution. But, I think you must installed this with a flatpak package. As long as nvidia drivers are updated in the system, the same thing should be done in flatpak shared libraries/frameworks. Please do $ flatpak update and accept updates. Hi Aurelien, sorry, i saw this only now ... I'm not quite sure if i understand ... Davinci Resolve is offered only as an RPM package on BlackmagicDesign's site: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/studio The difference is not in Davinci Resolve, it worked fine before the last update of the nvidia drivers. The lack of MP4 export with h.265 codec is since the last update of the Mageia packed nvidia drivers. Right now i have running the nvidia driver from the nvidia homepage and with that it works also fine. So you mean, i should uninstall the original driver and try to install the nvidia drivers as flatpak, right? Thanks! egc
Ho, sorry, no. Flatpak is not involved here. So, DaVinci Resolve for Linux is installed by a .run file from upstream website. Installing it to /opt. Launching it on my computer with Mageia 8 on Intel Core i5 6600K 16 Gb DDR4 Ram and a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Ti. here is the output of /home/aurelien/.local/share/DaVinciResolve/logs/ResolveDebug.txt 0x7fd3983c7600 | Main | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,092 | Running DaVinci Resolve v17.1.1.0009 (Linux/Clang x86_64) 0x7fd3983c7600 | Main | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,092 | BMD_BUILD_UUID 450c4584-c84f-4cd4-a7bb-98b3fcab9786 0x7fd3983c7600 | Main | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,092 | BMD_GIT_COMMIT 0789840c2ac307541ca233d76f787b9bbbf2013d 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,092 | Starting GPUDetect 1.1_3-a2 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,262 | Done in 170 ms. 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,262 | Detected System: 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,262 | - OS: Linux Mageia release 8 (Official) for x86_64 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,262 | - Model: Gigabyte Z170X-Ultra Gaming-CF 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,262 | - System ID: ac4132704c5f4d558f4dcd935384a772 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,262 | - CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K, 4 threads, x86-64 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | - RAM: 3.0 GiB used of 15.6 GiB 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | - NVIDIA GPU Driver: 460.67, supports CUDA 11.2 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | Detected 1 GPUs: 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | - "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti" (gpu:ddc7c641.f91e8f0c) <- Main Display GPU 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | Discrete, 315 MiB used of 5.5 GiB VRAM, PCI:1:0.0 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | Matches: CUDA, NVML, OpenCL, XOrg 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | Detected 1 monitors: 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | - "Monitor" <- Main Monitor 0x7fd3983c7600 | GPUDetect | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | 3840x1080, connected to "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti" (gpu:ddc7c641.f91e8f0c) 0x7fd3983c7600 | Main.GPUConfig | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | Compute API set to automatic, defaulting to CUDA. 0x7fd3983c7600 | Main.GPUConfig | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | Selected compute API: CUDA 0x7fd3983c7600 | Main.GPUConfig | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | Automatic GPU Selection: 0x7fd3983c7600 | Main.GPUConfig | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | - "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti" (gpu:ddc7c641.f91e8f0c) 0x7fd3983c7600 | IO | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,263 | RED InitializeSdk with library path at /opt/resolve/libs 0x7fd3983c7600 | IO | INFO | 2021-04-09 16:24:48,402 | R3DAPI 8.0.0-49A09 (20201217 Lx64S) R3DSDK 8.0.0-49A09 (20201217 Lx64D C3B1) RED CUDA 8.0.0-50396 (20201217) [/opt/resolve/libs/] init is successful This seems OK. nvidi seen with Mageia's version of nvidia nonfree drivers.
