Tried `dracut -f` but that simply rebuilt initrd for 10.8. Had to run `drakboot --boot` and specify 10.24 as the default. That rebooted fine with the nvidia graphics driver. glmark2 and stellarium work. Common desktop applications work. NFS shares are accessible. $ perf test A few skips and the usual quota of FAILED.

Before this test, I made sure the wifi dongle was working properly with the rtl8192eu driver. MGA7-64 MATE on PeaqC1011 No installation issues for this 5.10.25. Tried different file types (odp, jpg, odb, xls, avi, odt) on local disk and on NFS-shares, wifi connection, all OK, no problems detected.

Kernel: 5.10.25-desktop-1.mga7 x86_64 Quad Core: Intel Core i7-4790 GeForce GTX 970/PCIe/SSE2 : NVIDIA 460.56 No installation issues. nvidia driver installed before reboot. The grub menu had been updated to contain the new kernel initrd - no user intervention. Desktop reestablished in its entirety. Continued with updates testing. Two virtualbox clients running concurrently, but not very efficiently.
mga7-64 OK on my workstation per tests in comment 4 repeated.
No regressions noted. mga7-x86_64 on two desktops (radeon/fglrx on one, Intel 810 and later on the other). mga8-x86_64 on one laptop with combo amdgpu and nvidia-current, using mageia-prime. mga8-x86_64 on an aarch64 rpi4. lspcidrake does not display any info on the video card, but what ever it's using is working.
