Description Varrin Swearingen 2021-03-10 21:47:47 CET
Description of problem:
After upgrading to lib64tiff5-4.2.0.1.mga7, gscan2pdf gives the following error on startup:
Warning: missing packages
Save image requires libtiff

Reverting to the mga7 release version of libtiff (4.0.10...) resolves the problem.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gscan2pdf-2.5.2-2.mga7
lib64tiff5-4.2.0.1.mga7

How reproducible:
Upgrade to lib64tiff5-4.2.0.1.mga7, start gscan2pdf.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade to lib64tiff5-4.2.0.1.mga7
2. Start gscan2pdf

Marked as major because gscan2pdf will no longer save files, rendering it effectively broken.

In fact, libtiff is no more recognized by gscan2pdf.

I would say that it is an upstream bug.

Comment 5 papoteur 2021-03-12 10:13:44 CET
It can't be installed, claiming dependencies.
Comment 6 papoteur 2021-03-13 17:10:39 CET
This is now OK,
Installing is possible.
Scanning a page in grey, saving it as PDF, this is OK.
Assigning to QA.
