Description Giuseppe Ghibò 2021-02-16 12:52:13 CET
Since some months, just after selecting the kernel in grub2 it appears a garbish yellowish screen of the duration of 3-4 seconds. Not harmful but a bit unprofessional.

Happens on several Intel HD graphics chipsets (series 530 and above). Providing i915.fastboot=0 didn't help.

Thanks for the report, and the useful screenshot which says it all!
You say "just after selecting the kernel in grub2 ... duration of 3-4 seconds"; does it then go on to the usual Mageia background up to the Display Manager login screen?

Assigning this globally for Grub2.

it happens either with splash or nosplash. When splash is on, then it goes to splash screen, then exit from splash screen and goes to X DM login screen. When nosplash is active, then it goes to console and then to X DM login screen.
