Hello, I tried an install in order to try to reproduce a bug, I use the nonfree netinstall mga8 RC1. I used a local mirror, and at the end of the installation, on the mirror side I see an error : > 192.168.0.30 - - [16/Feb/2021 08:56:20] "GET /distrib/8/x86_64/media/core/release/grub2-mageia-theme-2.04.0-28.mga8.noarch.rpm HTTP/1.1" 200 - > 192.168.0.30 - - [16/Feb/2021 08:56:32] code 404, message File not found > 192.168.0.30 - - [16/Feb/2021 08:56:32] "GET /distrib/8/x86_64/install/images/hd_grub.img HTTP/1.1" 404 - I don't know if it is important, it seems not so important as the VM started correctly. But IMO, it should not try to get a file that is not longer existing. The file is not "missing" in my local repository, as it isn't also in the ftp.free.fr repo : http://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/mageia.org/distrib/8/x86_64/install/images/ BUT instead of hd_grub.img there is a : Mageia-8-hd_grub-x86_64.img
Thank you for the report, and the research. 1) This rpm should exist: Name : grub2-mageia-theme Version : 2.04.0 Release : 28.mga8 Group : System/Boot and Init Size : 615049 Architecture: noarch Source RPM : grub2-2.04.0-28.mga8.src.rpm 2) You are right about 'hd_grub.img' not existing; pkg/SRPM drakx-installer-images has: install/images/Mageia-8-hd_grub-x86_64.img install/images/Mageia-8-hd_grub-nonfree-x86_64.img Assigning to the Mageia Tools group for netinstaller.
Source RPM: (none) => grub2-2.04.0-28.mga8.src.rpm, drakx-installer-images-2.81-19.mga8.src.rpmSummary: netinstallers hit a 404 not found file. => netinstallers hit a 404 not found for files grub2-mageia-theme & hd_grub.imgAssignee: bugsquad => mageiatools
missing grub2-mageia-theme-2.04.0-28.mga8.noarch.rpm was probably due to mid-sync of rpms hd_grub.img compat link added back on primary mirrors will fix up d-i-i better for mga9
Target Milestone: --- => Mageia 9
