Hi, this not really our bug. Since it affect Firefox ESR since 52 version... Also you mention Java... What is the root cause of this? Do you ever tried firefox by download it from upstream website and run it from that folder? Is it possible to test from even Firefox's on Windows?

It is a bug of the ESR version. I have reported it here:https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1692839 It is produced on all platforms, both Windows and Mageia (GNU / Linux). I think it's not a java problem, but some java implementation in Firefox ESR. This bug does not appear in Firefox version 85.
I add to this that I can't log in to my electronic banking from the web either: https://www.bankinter.com/empresas/ It is not even necessary to try to log in to online banking, the login box does not appear. In the Firefox 85 Version, I can see login window without issues.
When you want to illustrate screenshots (which are very useful), please attach them directly to the bug. Do you really mean Java, not Javascript? Very different, if academic. Where you have trouble with Firefox, always try also with another browser. I prefer Falkon (but which does not show some video content). Or Chromium-browser-stable. For the last link above, I tried it with both Firefox 78.7.0esr and Falkon - and saw no login box in either! The site is perverse. Can you attach a screenshot showing the missing login box? It is regrettable that too many web sites are 'too clever', and only work on GAFAM browsers, abusing HTML & Javascript. I put this down to incompetence by their developers, who are incapable of producing something that works universally. Complain to the organisations in question; it is serious. Re your upstream bug (comment 2), please add the bad & good screenshots of both examples to that (if not alreasdy done). Despite my rants, your complaint is just: if it works with Firefox 85, we should think about providing that. Aurélien is better placed to comment on this.

Hi, I add the screenshots, that I coment in the comment 3. As You can see, with Firefox 78 ESR don't appears the login window, and with chromium-browser 88, appears the login window. I'm not going to debate, if this is incompetence of somebody in Mozilla Foundation, but the bug show in bank webs, which have a lot of visitors, so it is suffered by all mageia users and also the business environment. I think that we should providing the last version of Firefox for resolve this issues.. It should be noted that the ESR version has a year's maintenance, but this has not been fixed since before, and the user will simply change browser, possibly to one of the GAFAM..... ones. Something, which I think seriously harms the whole community of Mageia, GNU/Linux and free software. Let's not forget that soon Chromium will be stripped of all Google services as well (that will open other debates for sure).
Created attachment 12341 [details] Bug in Firefox ESR In this screenshot, don't appears the login window in Firefox ESR
Created attachment 12342 [details] Ok Web in Chromium Just like Firefox 85, this Chromium screenshot shows the web correctly with the login window.
Thank you for adding these screenshots. They are nothing like what you see with the URL you gave in comment 3. Can you repeat the URL which should show the login screen like the screenshots? I want to try Falkon. Assigning globally, since this bug impacts our Firefox policy.

Thank you Jose for that finer URL. It *did* work with Falkon (like your Chromium screenshot). (In reply to Jose Manuel López from comment #9) > The web is this: https://empresas.bankinter.com/secure/es/ Thank you Jose for that finer URL. It *did* work with Falkon (like your Chromium screenshot). Nothing more I can add.

I have tried to download the ESR version from the official Mozilla website. This problem does not happen in the version of the official website. I can see the login screen without problems, so could it be a packaging problem for Mageia? In the Mozilla bug report, I have also been told the same thing, with the official ESR version it works correctly, so we should check this and apply a fix to the Mageia package.
I have checked that the official version, the Banco Santander website, does not work either, so in this case it is not a problem with the Mageia packaging. I have reopened the Mozilla bug to report this.
Hi, I am seeing this with a Firefox Developer, when I have new news, I will report here. Is a bug of some part of the versions of Firefox ESR 78, that in the new serie 80 don't appears. Greetings!!
I am speaking with Firefox Developers, With the Official Firefox ESR, I can get into Bankinter web after put my data login, but the Mageia version don't works for this. I suppose that we have a bug here with the Firefox Mageia package. This is reported in Bugzilla Mozilla here: - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1692839 - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1703861
Acording to the last updates of bugs, they are closed, and the fix will be applicated to the 78.10 ESR version.

Hi, the new version 78.10 ESR is here. I can confirmed, now, the Bank Santander web and the Bankinter web works ok. We should update our firefox as soon as possible, although with a good compilation, that does not leave the access error pending in this case to the Bankinter website, which did not occur in the official version, but in the Mageia version. Greetings!!
Hi all, some news here? The Bankinter web no works still, but the official version of ESR yes. Greetings!!
Hi, I have updated to version 78.10.1.2 today, the issue there is still. I can't into to login of Bakinter web still. Greetings!!
This is caused by the following patch in the Mageia spec. file Patch450: mozilla-1624128.patch (which is actually applied in reverse, undoing an upstream change)

Thanks martin for finding that... looks like we've been carrying a patch that was for pre 3.52 nss :/ I've submitted firefox-78.10.0-1.3.mga8 to updates_testing
Doesn't help with trying to log on to a Keybank USA account, but I didn't expect it to because Keybank doesn't like Mozilla's ESR version, either. Working fine otherwise, though.
Great, Martin and Thomas! Mga8-64 Running it various sites, as expected no changes for me (version check issue). Will post back if i see a regression.

Hi all, Great work!! Now I can open Bankinter website. The patch works fine. Very thanks to all. I guess there will be someone else who can confirm that everything works ok to bring it to stable for Mageia 8.
Firefox 78.11 is due to be released on Tuesday, according to Mozilla's published calendar. Perhaps the simplest thing to do would be to wait for that and incorporate this change in our version, rather than push two Firefox updates so close together.
