Description of problem: Flashplayer stopped having support in December 2020, so the lightspark package should be considered obsolete for Mageia 8.

Flashplayer ni you can even download it from the official Adobe site and recommend its uninstallation for security reasons.

Thank you for this observation. It is indeed true that at last Flash is NOT recommended. I wonder who uses this package.

Curiously, the project is still active:
"Lightspark is still in alpha state, it currently implements around 78% of the Flash APIs"

Actually the fact that the Adobe Flash implementation is EOL is all the more reason to keep this open-source implementation.

But if Flash Player is EOL, I think that even for security reasons, we should not give the option to support this technology.

Wrong, Adobe Flash Player is EOL.  That has no bearing on lightspark.
