Description Pierre Fortin 2021-02-01 19:11:09 CET
Description of problem:

Setting default browswer in
System Settings:Personalization:Applications:Default Applications:Web Browser always causes apps (Telegram) to use "( ) in the following application:" ignoring user's choice of "(*) with the following command:"; even after "Default" or "Reset" is clicked to try again.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible: always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open systemsettings5
2. go to System Settings:Personalization:Applications:Default Applications:Web Browser
3. select "(*) with the following command:"
4. enter desired browser (/usr/local/bin/brave)
5. Apply
6. click on link in external app (Telegram in my case)
7. opens in app selected in "( ) in the following application:"
8. select "(*) in the following application:"
9. select any other app
10. select "(*) with the following command:" (entry same as Step 4)
12. Apply

Clicking on link in Telegram opens whatever is now selected in "( ) in the following application:" rather than "(*) with the following command:"

Mageia 7 is EOL since July 1st 2021.
There will not have any further bugfix for this release.

You are encouraged to upgrade to Mageia 8 as soon as possible.

@reporter, if this bug still apply with Mageia 8, please let us know it.

@packager, if you work on the Mageia 7 version of your package, please check the Mageia 8 package if issue is also present. In this case, please fix the Mageia 8 version instead.

This bug report will be closed OLD if there is no further notice within 1st September 2021.
