Description Muhammad Tailounie 2021-01-30 00:54:48 CET
After installing the dhcp-server package, trying to run dhcpd.service fails with 'timeout' in the journal.

There are two errors in the service file.

1. The option -f running DHCPD in foreground
2. Type; which is set to notify

Removing -f option and changing Type to forking, solves the issue.
Comment 1 Muhammad Tailounie 2021-01-30 00:55:53 CET
The same goes for dhcpd6.service
Comment 2 David Walser 2021-01-30 16:09:11 CET
Should be fixed in dhcp-4.4.2-8.mga8.

Resolution: (none) => FIXED
Status: NEW => RESOLVED
