Description André-Marcel Berthouzoz 2021-01-22 19:35:58 CET
The "drakconf" program crashed. Drakbug-18.40 caught it.

Installation of various software with the Mageia Control Center.
I'm not sure exactly what triggered the bug reporting tool icon (drakconf script Perl)
to appear that pinned to task manager and I'm not sure how to remove it.
When I click on this icon, it opens drakbug.

you must be root to run this program at /usr/lib/libDrakX/common.pm line 596.
Perl's trace:
drakbug::bug_handler() called from /usr/lib/libDrakX/common.pm:596
common::require_root_capability() called from /usr/libexec/drakconf:64

Theme name: Adwaita
Kernel version = 5.10.9-desktop-3.mga8
Distribution=Mageia release 8 (Official) for x86_64
CPU=Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GHz

Comment 2 André-Marcel Berthouzoz 2021-01-23 19:31:38 CET
During the installation of Mageia 8 Beta 2, I did not configure an Internet connection (neither Ethernet nor Wi-Fi) and therefore I did not update the sources. At the first start, I launched the Mageia Control Center to configure the sources, update the system and install 18 other software.
The following message was displayed:
Problems occurred during installation.
1 installation transactions failed.
An error occurred during the installation of the packages:
... recovery failed: aria2 failed: exit with 3.
I checked the configured sources and checked some mirrors forgotten during the update. I restarted the computer and retried installing the 18 software which installed without an error message. When I installed Mageia 8 Beta 1, I didn't get this error message and no issues installing programs. For a beginner user like me, it would be interesting that when updating the sources the main and necessary mirrors are checked by default.

Well done for the francization of the Mageia start screen.
Congratulations also for all the work that has been done since Mageia 1.

This same problem already reported, bug 24957. That was Mageia 7, updating it to Cauldron/M8.
