VirtualBox 6.1.18 maintenance release * official support for kernel 5.10 https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Changelog-6.1#v18 Also some packaging changes: - I have switched it over to use proper native systemd services. - wired up vboxdrmclient so vm window autoresize works To check: - if you on host had old virtualbox init script enabled, the new vboxhost service should get automatically enabled on upgrade... - if you on guest had old vboxadd-timesync enabled, the new vboxguest service should get automatically enabled on upgrade... @James: did the vboxhost and vboxguest systemd services get automatically enabled on mha7 host and guest ?
Just installed on an mga7 x86_64 install that did not previously have it. The vboxhost.service is enabled on installation, but not started. Should it be?

On the host system: systemctl status vboxhost ● vboxhost.service - VirtualBox host kernel driver loader Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/vboxhost.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) Active: active (exited) since Thu 2021-01-21 07:45:51 GMT; 1 day 23h ago Note that the time reported above is when I installed 5.10.8-desktop-2.mga7 and not the time that I updated virtualbox: rpm -qa --last | less | grep kernel-desktop kernel-desktop-5.10.8-2.mga7-1-1.mga7.x86_64 Thu 21 Jan 2021 07:42:28 GMT rpm -qa --last | less | grep virtualbox virtualbox-6.1.18-1.mga7.x86_64 Fri 22 Jan 2021 16:03:06 GMT On the mga7-32 guest, for some reason that I can no longer remember I've been using the Oracle iso and not the mga additions packages. The Oracle iso did not seem to provide the systemd files, although so far as I could tell everything was working fine.

Confirming the service is enabled in the guest, and no regressions found. Adding the ok tag and validating the update.
