Description Christophe Nanteuil 2021-01-06 18:49:40 CET
In the login forms, it is not clearly specified that the "Login" field is the id and not the email.
If you select "Forgot Password", the form asks for the email.
In the email sent to reset the password, there is no indication to remind the login id to the user.
I had to check my email at account creation to retrieve my login id (in the url of the link to activate the account).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. try to login. It is never printed that the login is not email address.
2. ask for "forgot password", the login id is not send to the user.

I would suggest either to send the login id in the mail that resets the password or to accept the email as login Id.

Currently, it is specified well almost everywhere except here, in our Bugzilla. If you login to the forums, identity or wiki, you're requested to give the username. If you login to https://ml.mageia.org/l you're asked to give your e-mail address.

Only when logging into bugs.mageia.org, it is not clear whether you should use your username or e-mail address, because it just says "Login:"

There is bug 21769 about this issue.

The last part is requested in bug 252

I'll change this bug to request that bugs.mageia.org asks for "Username" instead of for "Login"

Both bug 21769 and bug 252 are about identity.m.o, not Bugzilla. You probably meant bug 1171.
