Description Thomas Andrews 2021-01-02 01:57:47 CET
Description of problem:
Our dkms-rtl8192cu driver package is over four years old, and will not build for the newer kernels. It should either be updated, or dropped.

As many, if not all, of these devices now work with the rtl8xxxu driver module, and since no user has complained about the situation, I believe it's time to drop the package as no longer needed.

Dropped.

Status: NEW => RESOLVED
Resolution: (none) => FIXED

Comment 2 Thomas Andrews 2021-01-02 19:00:34 CET
If a user finds a rtl8192cu device that doesn't work with the rtl8xxxu driver, it has been shown that at least one device can use dkms-rtl8192eu as an alternative.
