Created attachment 12159 [details] First launch KDEnlive complains Kdenlive 20.12.0 complains about a possible missing recommended plugin: frei0r-plugin from MLT 6.24.0 That is surprising is that: $ rpm -qa | grep mlt lib64mlt++3-6.24.0-2.mga8 mlt-6.24.0-2.mga8 mlt-kdenlive-6.24.0-2.mga8 lib64mlt6-6.24.0-2.mga8 Also: $ urpmf -f frei0r-plugins returns no one. So. This error? at first launch is cosmetic? Not really user-friendly. Assigning KDE Team and Kdenlive maintainer. See also attached screenshot of the message.
frei0r is recommended with kdenlive but I think as kdenlive is installed by default in the ISOs and ISOs don't install any recommended pkgs this is why it complains about missing dependency.

Yeah, but which package provide it? $ urpmf -f frei0r-plugins returns no one.
$ urpmq --whatprovides frei0r-plugins frei0r

This is a bad user experience. I should check if doing a "personalized" install will install it.
if you use "urpmi --downgrade kdenlive" I'm pretty sure that the recommended pkgs will be installed.
is it something we can add a require instead of recommands ?
(In reply to Nicolas Lécureuil from comment #6) > is it something we can add a require instead of recommands ? For better user experience, frei0r package should be part of required packages for Kdenlive if it complains at first boot about missing one, IMO.
Fixed!
