Installed all seven packages and rebooted. Did not take. Had to run 'drakboot --boot' before linus kernel appeared in the boot menu. NFS shares mounted and responsive. Freeview dvb TV working fine in vlc with subtitles and sound. glmark2 runs, ristretto, LO writer. Installed kstars. It runs fine. MCC suggested installing blueberry during hardware browsing. No crash on exit! Looks good so far.
Updated version to latest that are in testing_updates. Note, an update to nvidia390 driver is in Bug 28050. No update for nvidia-current ? I know we won't push nvidia glvnd independent driver for M7, but, if it is not feasible, we can't push 5.10 kernel to M7, or add an errata, or forbid the update with nvidia-current on M7. I do think it is the last thing that prevent the final switch.

So, 5.10.6 fixes up some issues found in earlier 5.10 series and seems to behave, so the rpms to tests are now: and as the "hacked nvidia-current" seems to work too, we can start finalizing the move to 5.10 series... NAS drive accessible via NFS, also fileserver. pulseaudio running, rhythmbox, sound and video works. parole managed to show a commercial DVD. stellarium works fine at fullscreen resolution. Inserted USB stick; mounted and visible to caja. SSH login to another node on the LAN using authorized_keys. Leaving this to run overnight.
