Description of problem: I see that prism54-firmware isn't included in the non-free release media in Mageia, but it IS in Mandriva. I therefor downloaded the SRPM from Mandriva's non-free release SRPM-dir & rebuilt the package to become added in Mageia as well. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.0.4.3
Created attachment 806 [details] prism54-firmware package Here's the RPM I created. You're welcome to test it.
Summary: I built an rpm from a Mandriva-SRPM to become added to non-free release-media => package request: prism54-firmware

can you attach the spec or src instead of the noarch ?
Source RPM: prism54-firmware-1.0.4.3-6mdv2010.0.src.rpm => prism54-firmware
The spec is what Mandriva uses.
SRPM is in non-free release-repo in Mandriva.
Setting version to cauldron to improve the chance that someone will package it. When it is in cauldron, it'll be in the next stable release.

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes. You might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager

I think we can close this report as OLD as this package is not in the Mageia repos and I don't really need it myself. If someone else should need it to be added to the Mageia repos in the future please feel free to reopen it.
