From https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27354#c61 Martin Whitaker 2020-11-18 11:59:04 CET The booting problem appears to be due to a change in the kernel or udev behaviour. It only affects the 32-bit ISO, and only when persistence is enabled. rdsosreport.txt.xz of failed 8b1xfce i586 encr persistent : https://bugs.mageia.org/attachment.cgi?id=12001
For reference / sidenote / question: Tested mga7.1 live xfce iso in USB stick; both i586 and x86_64: § Persistence: works OK § Encrypted persistence: Encryption key dialogue is never shown - during first boot it instead pauses more than usual but desktop shows up as intended, second boot one got stuck with black screen then rebooted, the other got to desktop but persistence was working (strange) Both tests on my Thinkpad T400. Is it "just me" or do encryption never work on Mageia 7 persistent live? I intend to note on wiki.
(sorry for double posting, restart of firefox and pilot error)
Support for encrypted persistent partitions was only added recently - see bug 25191.

Oh, I forgot! My own request bug, it was... Thank you for the reminder!! I have now updated relevant wiki pages.
(In reply to Martin Whitaker from comment #5) > Support for encrypted persistent partitions was only added recently - see > bug 25191. Can this bug be said to be resolved, then? Or does it depend on bug 27638?
