Description Morgan Leijström 2020-11-17 11:40:04 CET
We need to keep nextcloud client updated.
This is a bugfix release.

I have tested 3.0.3-1 in cauldron to be OK in xfce, mate, lxde 64 bit.

Can test 3.0.3 on mga7 64 bit Plasma here when available in testing.

Extra points if the dependencies can be trimmed down, see:
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27383#c5
Comment 3 Marc Krämer 2020-11-17 14:00:32 CET
@Morgan: lets check the dependencies for cauldron, not for mga7.

It looks like we have dependencies for gnome desktop, even if this is not used (e.g. seahorse). Without "recommends", I assume the list will be smaller. I don't know if we can provide packages depending on used/installed desktops. AFAIK we can only make separate packages for each desktop and recommend them.
Comment 4 Morgan Leijström 2020-11-17 14:19:07 CET
This is not my cup of tea. I just wish ;)

We have already several nextcloud-client-<filebrowser_integration>

Maybe we could have nextcloud-client-<keyring_alternative>

I have not tried lately if nextcloud-client is useable without any keyring.

Tested in 64Bit Gnome MGA7

It is working as designed.

Comment 7 Morgan Leijström 2020-11-17 16:20:06 CET
What a speed :)

I suggest we stop 3.0.2 as this seem t be tested enough in a few hours?

Trying it out myself now.
Comment 8 Morgan Leijström 2020-11-17 16:25:04 CET
I hold 3.0.2 so users need not update twice, and a update bug upstream is fixed, much better.

Thus 3.0.3 inherits the urgency.

Priority: Normal => High
Severity: normal => critical

Test OK 64 bit Plasma

"Working as designed", yes, tounge in cheek... ;)
Operational, and seem not to destroy things.

I first stopped client 3.0.2, removed it, and performed other for this issue unrelated cleaning and bug hunting, then installed

  lib64nextcloudsync0            3.0.3        1.mga7        x86_64
  lib64ocsync0                   3.0.3        1.mga7        x86_64
  nextcloud-client               3.0.3        1.mga7        x86_64
  nextcloud-client-dolphin       3.0.3        1.mga7        x86_64

$ nextcloud --logwindow

Lots of noise and small problems in log as usual...

In journal i see the following errors and more like them. I guess that is nothing to do about? (Ponder that until next version)

When this client is out, we can finally release server version 19.

What is?! This was before Marc's update announcement.

BTAIM Thank you Morgan & Brian for quick testing, and of course Marc for the even quicker update.
If Morgan & Brian are happy with that, please MGA7-64-OK this.
Advisory in comment 6.

Because nextcloud-client 3.0.2 is in updates_testing for M7.
That's why I closed Bug 27380 to prevent misunderstanding.
Comment 13 Morgan Leijström 2020-11-18 11:38:44 CET
IMO, here just remains to check in the advisory
