Description of problem: Impossible to add a genmon plugin to an Xfce panel - see steps to reproduce Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): xfce4-genmon-plugin-4.0.2-3.mga8, installed as an update Oct.31 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1.Panel hit -> Panel -> Add New Items -> Generic Monitor 2.Hit Add 3. A popup window will appear: Plugin "Generic Monitor" unexpectdely left the panel, do you want ot restart it? Its "Execute button" simply re-pops up the window, get out by hitting "Abandon". No genmon plugin has been created (but a plugin-id has been reserved). This problem has not been present when I installed Cauldron - it arrived with some later update - but was already present before the update to xfce4-panel-4.15.5-1, installed today. On my laptop, where I had generated a genmon plugin a long time ago and did not modify my panel since, the plugin still exists in the panel and works (but if I login as another user, adding a genmon plugin in that users panel fails.) Genmon is not a toy - it serves as a workaround against the disappearance of the kbd-led plugin, essential if a machine does not have a Numlock or Keybard-lock indicator). Fully updated system as off 8.11.2020
Added patches from upstream to fix the issue. Please test xfce4-genmon-plugin-4.0.2-4.mga8.
