The issue is very apparent when you compare the screenshots of the yawp applet from Mageia 5 (KDE4) and the Plasma 5 weather widget. The top part has a sun icon to display the current conditions, but no temperature, location, or other information.

Hi, thanks for reporting this. I do think this depends of the datas provider. For Chauny, France, the Wetter.com datas are pretty accurate, their website and the Plasma applet provide same datas and pictogram. But, between wetter.com (German website) and Meteo France (French Meteo Public Service), sometimes pictograms differs sometimes, Temperatures are somewhat similar. In Plasma 5 applet, there are other datas providers. Please think about to change it to an other more accurate. I don't know data providers from one in Mageia 5. Back to report, is this come from Breeze icon theme to be not subtle? Already assigned to package maintainer for advice. (Please set the status to 'assigned' if you are working on it)

Wetter is the only data provider it has that turns my town up in a search. I think I'm usOxygen icons and not Breeze.
Yawp was using AccuWeather, but that's no longer a choice in Mageia 7.
No change in Mageia 8.
