When trying to insert a special character in LibreOffice, the window to select the character opens very large, with the table cells elongated and essentially unreadable. Moving the cursor to edge of the window it looks as if the window can be resized, but in fact it cannot. Applies to LibreOffice 7.0.2.1, at least in Writer To reproduce: 1. Open a document and choose Insert > Special Character 2. Overly large, elongated window opens to find and select the character This does not happen in the 6.4.xx version in Mageia 7.
I should have added that I checked upstream and did not come across a bug report like this, so am reporting it here.
Hi, thanks for reporting this bug. Can you provide a screenshot to what you encounter? Can you also tell me what is your screen resolution? As I tested this, I can't reproduce it. My screen resolution is 1920x1080.

Color me red! I cannot reproduce it either! I checked a LO 7 I have on the machine in Win7 and there was no problem. Having restarted Mageia, it seems the problem went away. Stupid, momentary glitch of some sort. Sorry for the noise, closing this. PS this is on a second gen i5 laptop with 1366x768 resolution.

I am reopening this as it seems transient. This happened to me earlier today with 7.0.3.1, but resolved after a restart. Just now the table opened with only a few characters "present" in the form of full stops -- and only the Basic Latin subset. This is with the es_ES language pack, so will try to determine more tomorrow and running with en_US.

The problem has not reappeared and I have to assume that it was related to a corrupted profile on my machine.
