Hello, adding this option can improve the localization of the website.
Yuri, something for you ?

(In reply to Manuel Hiebel from comment #1) > Yuri, something for you ? I bet it's rather question to Filip. We (localization team) do not handle the programmatic side of the website. We only handle the content. We cannot add dir="rtl" for Hebrew ourselves. Filip, is it possible at all? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Yuri is right. I guess it's not that simple sometimes to only add dir="rtl" as there is often a mix of RTL and LTR text on our pages. See http://www.i18nguy.com/markup/right-to-left.html for examples and explanation. I actually tried to start that in the past but didn't got very far. I can try to give this a priority. But @Manuel if you like to try you're more than welcome. I guess the best way is to start with one page and one language. @Omer are you willing to test the result? For which language? @Yuri Off topic a bit. Looking a i18n report I noticed git/TX differences are growing. Do you use any automation for syncing? Does it hurt if I do that manually sometimes? Would it make sense to make more detailed (string diff level) report for that?
Summary: Please add an option in Transifex to make the website RTL for specific languages => Please add the website RTL for specific languages
(In reply to Filip Komar from comment #3) > @Yuri > Off topic a bit. Looking a i18n report I noticed git/TX differences are > growing. Do you use any automation for syncing? Just a stupid script. I run it for the repos which are reported by Transifex. All other "additional" translations are from Transifex machinery. > Does it hurt if I do that manually sometimes? No objections for commits from any of the translators/developers. > Would it make sense to make more detailed (string diff > level) report for that? No. I can see the difference well and react correspondingly. Just not every evening. ;)
> @Omer are you willing to test the result? For which language? Yes. I speek Hebrew, but Arabic (and languages with the Arabic alphabet) and Aramic are right to left languages too.

Unfortunately RTL support is a challenge to me. IIUC not only text but all elements on the page should be mirrored from LTR? That means frontend changes in CSS too. I'm not very strong there. It would help if you can help us with an example. Can you please modify html source code taken from web page for example http://www.mageia.org/he/timeline/ or any other well translated page and add dir="rtl" to the elements until it seems proper to you and attach it here? @Manuel Can you please assist at frontend? I can implement backend structure to switch direction depending on language. Another nice resource: https://www.w3.org/International/questions/qa-html-dir

It would help if you can help us with an example. Hello, for example, take Microsoft's website. https://www.microsoft.com/he-il - The Hebrew version of Microsoft's website. > > Can you please modify html source code taken from web page for example > http://www.mageia.org/he/timeline/ or any other well translated page and add > dir="rtl" to the elements until it seems proper to you and attach it here? No page is seems proper to me when just adding 'dir="rtl"', but adding 'align="right"' makes all the pages seem proper in RTL.
(In reply to Omer Itzic Schwartz from comment #7) > No page is seems proper to me when just adding 'dir="rtl"', but adding > 'align="right"' makes all the pages seem proper in RTL. Thanks! That helped a lot! Can you please check main index page including the navigation if that is proper way to do on all pages? I tested in Firefox and Chromium and AFAIK it should suffice. Please correct me if not!
The direction of the elements is correct, but the direction of the text isn't. Both 'dir="rtl"' and 'align="right" are important.
(In reply to Omer Itzic Schwartz from comment #9) > The direction of the elements is correct, but the direction of the text > isn't. > Both 'dir="rtl"' and 'align="right" are important. Thanks. I hope it's better now. The direction of navigation, header and lower line of footer is unchanged. Please report if any of them need to be changed also. I'm totally unable to read any RTL :(. If you have any tip how can I check myself to not nag you for every line it would be nice as there are many pages to fix.

Try take a screenshot of the website in your language and mirror it Horizontal. Then, compare between the screenshot and the website in RTL.

Then, compare between the screenshot and the website in RTL. That's useful for elements on the page (I did it like that) but not the RTL text :(. How the index page reads now? Is the direction of the text correct in HE?
The index page now is full-RTL, and the direction of the text is correct in Hebrew.
(In reply to Omer Itzic Schwartz from comment #13) > The index page now is full-RTL, and the direction of the text is correct in > Hebrew. Thanks. I'm glad! Other pages will follow. I'll try to post them here but they can be seen on our git too.
(In reply to Omer Itzic Schwartz from comment #13) > The index page now is full-RTL, and the direction of the text is correct in > Hebrew. Hello, I didn't test the mobile version of the index page, sorry. The navigate menu and the footer are LTR still.
Also about/license page should now be full-RTL. Please check it. Mobile navigation is still on TODO list for now.

Besides about/license also timeline page should now be full-RTL. Please check it.
Some more pages to confirm for RTL. Maybe a whole link list is easier for you: https://www.mageia.org/he/downloads/get/index.php?q=Mageia-5-LiveCD-KDE4-en-i586-CD.iso&d=1 https://www.mageia.org/he/about/index.php https://www.mageia.org/he/about/license/index.php https://www.mageia.org/he/timeline/index.php More is on my TODO list. I choose pages from the top of the translation report for Hebrew so you can check the text direction flow more efficiently: https://www.mageia.org/langs/report.php?l=he
