Hi, Thanks reporting this problem you encounter. In order to deal with it, could you produce a screenshot of the problem using spectacle (Mageia => Tools => Spectacle) as you are on Plasma. Add it on this bug report. Also, could provide Mark, Model of the Notebook PC, and if they exist some references on the battery enclosure. Have you ever tried Mageia 8 Beta 1 live ISO in order to know if planned new versions of softwares function well?
Source RPM: (none) => powerdevil-5.15
Battery model, 2 are visible: N750BAT-4 6-87-N750-41D00 Computer model: Clevo NJ50CU I can see battery level with Mageia 7.1 GNOME & with Mageia 8 beta1

Thanks again helping identify the problem by providing a screenshot. Seems to be in plasmoid that bug occurs. What about "Batterie et luminosité" applet in systray? Does it show status when your system is plug on AC? Or only on battery? Does it provide useful informations or nothing? In such case, could you provide an additional screenshot of this applet?
Summary: Can't see batterie level => Battery Plasmoid can't see battery level in Plasma wrongly says "Any battery found"Source RPM: powerdevil-5.15 => plasma-workspace-5.15 powerdevil-5.15
I can't see status when my system is plug on AC. That only useful information i have, is when battery is under 10% See screenshot about "Batterie et luminosité" applet in systray

Thanks again helping identify the problem by providing additional screenshots. That is reassuring is that your Mageia 7 system DOES see a battery. But you as user do not have a percentage nor time remaining before battery will be empty. Does acpid.service is running? $ systemctl status acpid.service
Also, what does following command give? $ upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0
acpid.service is ok: systemctl status acpid.service ● acpid.service - ACPI Event Daemon Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/acpid.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled) Active: active (running) since Thu 2020-08-27 20:37:58 CEST; 1min 17s ago Process: 878 ExecStart=/usr/sbin/acpid $OPTIONS (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS) Main PID: 881 (acpid) Tasks: 1 (limit: 4915) Memory: 660.0K CGroup: /system.slice/acpid.service └─881 /usr/sbin/acpid août 27 20:37:58 localhost.localdomain systemd[1]: Starting ACPI Event Daemon... août 27 20:37:58 localhost.localdomain systemd[1]: Started ACPI Event Daemon. août 27 20:37:58 localhost.localdomain acpid[881]: starting up with netlink and the input layer août 27 20:37:58 localhost.localdomain acpid[881]: 0 rules loaded août 27 20:37:58 localhost.localdomain acpid[881]: waiting for events: event logging is off août 27 20:38:08 localhost.localdomain acpid[881]: client connected from 3540[0:0] août 27 20:38:08 localhost.localdomain acpid[881]: 1 client rule loaded août 27 20:38:08 localhost.localdomain acpid[881]: client connected from 3540[0:0] août 27 20:38:08 localhost.localdomain acpid[881]: 1 client rule loaded ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0 native-path: BAT0 vendor: Notebook model: BAT serial: 0001 power supply: yes updated: jeu. 27 août 2020 20:40:13 CEST (4 seconds ago) has history: yes has statistics: yes battery present: yes rechargeable: yes state: discharging warning-level: none energy: 9,5192 Wh energy-empty: 0 Wh energy-full: 39,3908 Wh energy-full-design: 40,15 Wh energy-rate: 9,2126 W voltage: 14,152 V time to empty: 1,0 hours percentage: 24% capacity: 98,1091% technology: lithium-ion icon-name: 'battery-low-symbolic' History (rate): 1598553613 9,213 discharging That's ok too
So your battery is well know by under-the-hood tools. You said also: (In reply to Guillaume Royer from comment #2) > I can see battery level with Mageia 7.1 GNOME & with Mageia 8 beta1 So definitely a KDE Plasma 5.15 bug. Assigning to KDE Team Maintainers.

(In reply to David GEIGER from comment #13) > This bug should be reported upstream at https://bugs.kde.org/ Reporter said this works well on Mageia 8 B1 with Live ISO. So seems problem already fixed upstream.

You are encouraged to upgrade to Mageia 8 as soon as possible. @reporter, if this bug still apply with Mageia 8, please let us know it. @packager, if you work on the Mageia 7 version of your package, please check the Mageia 8 package if issue is also present. In this case, please fix the Mageia 8 version instead. This bug report will be closed OLD if there is no further notice within 1st September 2021.
Hello, I confirm, since upgrade to MGA 8, there isn't no more bug with this plasmoid. It works well
