Description of problem: When creating a new latex document and compile it in kile it indicates a fatal error because of missing dehypht.tex. This file is contains in texlive-dist. However texlive-dist is not a kile dependency. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 2.9.93-3 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Kile 2. Create a New Document and select "Article" 3. Compile the created document with PDFLateX ([Alt]+6)
Thanks to report this, You pinpointed a potential missing dependency to latex installation. Assigning to KDE maintainers, owner of kile package.

Still valid in Mageia 8 beta 2.
On mga8 beta2 if you install texlive-dist, what happens?

It works after texlive-dist installation. Quick fix, add texlive-dist on the dependencies of kile. For long term we may think of moving dehypht.tex from texlive-dist to texlive-collection-basic. Because texlive-dist is a more than 1Go package and many files are not required for basic latex usage.
So I just add texlive-dist as recommended package from kile, so for users who don't need texlive-dist they can remove it or install kile without recommended pkgs.
It works. Thank's.
