Description Andrew Heil 2020-08-08 23:33:12 CEST
Description of problem:
-----------------------
In System Settings, Noto Sans is set as the default font. However, Noto Sans is not installed on the live media.

Version-Release number of selected component:
---------------------------------------------
Mageia-8-b1-Live-Plasma-x64.iso
(I.e. the live Plasma media for Mageia 8 beta 1. The issue was also there for the Alpha live DVD.)

How reproducible:
-----------------
Open up System Settings, go to the Fonts configurator, and you'll see that default fonts (except for the monospace one IIRC) are set to Noto Sans. However, it's not installed. You can verify this by looking in any font selector dialog box, or by pulling up RpmDrake and searching for the Noto fonts -- none are installed.
Comment 1 Andrew Heil 2020-08-08 23:37:12 CEST
Sorry, the ISO's name is really Mageia-8-beta1-Live-Plasma-x86_64.iso. My mistake.
Comment 2 Martin Whitaker 2020-08-09 14:56:42 CEST
Fixed after the beta1 ISOs were built. Should be OK on the next round of ISOs.
