Description of problem: In cauldron, with Friday, July 10th 2020 update to firefox-78esr, Firefox UI is displayed in us-english even with firefox-fr-78.0.2-1.mga8 installed. Install Cauldron with classic ISO (mga8a1), choose FR locale and region in DrakX, select Plasma 5 desktop. 2. Install all updates 3. Run firefox: english UI, Plasma UI is FR. Trying workaround in Firefox UI: Going to "Preferences" > General > Language Selecting Add in menu, and look for "French". It installs "Français". Open a new firefox window, UI is in french. Log out my Plasma session Log in Plasma session Run firefox ==> UI in us-english.
Even within a current Plasma session, After selecting "Français" in Preferences > General > Language, If I open a new firefox window while first (in English) is NOT closed, it opens in French. If I close the firefox window in English after selecting French, new window are in English. Crazy.

Created attachment 11747 [details] about:addons page in Firefox-78 While I don't use any Firefox addon or extension, I was mistakenly thinking that there is only bug with localization. Seems that after seeing https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26935, bug is wider. In about:addons, all extensions are listed but remain inactive or get disabled after closing Firefox.

I have tested the installation of Firefox ESR 78.2.0 in Mageia 8 Beta 1 and I have the same error, my language is Spanish and although firefox is installed with the Spanish language, when I open it everything appears in English. I have downloaded version 78.2 ESR from the official website and the same does not happen, all the interface, menus and others in Firefox appear in Spanish, so it is possible that it is a compilation error? I hope I have contributed something to this. Regards!!
I hope a solution can be determined soon, as we will next update Firefox to 78 in Mageia 7 as well, and it will probably suffer the same problem.

The issue is still in version 78.2.0-5. I completely uninstalled Firefox and deleted all folders with their name. Then I reinstalled from konsole with urpmi. I note that the language packs are not in the same version. Firefox version: 78.2.0-5 Language version: 78.2.0.1
Same issue for french translation. Even trying to removed user profile and letting application to recreate one. Install and reinstall did not produce any result. Therefore firefox 81-devel is not affected.
Martin is attempting to fix this in firefox-78.2.0-6.mga8 (building now).
