Description of problem: I tried to configure a new external monitor (old CRT) for dual screen. When I test the configuration, there is a freeze. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Card:NVIDIA GeForce 6100 to GeForce 360: nVidia Corporation|G84M [Quadro NVS 140M] [DISPLAY_VGA] (vendor:10de device:0429 subv:17aa subd:20d8) (rev: a1) I use the nonfree driver : x11-driver-video-nvidia-current-275.09.07-0.1.mga1.nonfree Steps to Reproduce: 0. Plug an external screen on the laptop (not sure it is required) 1. Go to MCC, XFdrake, configure nonfree driver option to "Enable duplicate display on the external monitor" 2. Test it -> The 2 screens become black, and the laptop is frozen. In the Xorg log, I had : (EE) NVIDIA(0): WAIT: (E, 0, 0x827d, 0) I found a workaround on the web : add intel_iommu=off to kernel parameters. With this parameter, I'm able to configure the displays with the nvidia configurator.

pinging, because nothing happened to this report since more than 3 months ago @ tmb Please set status to ASSIGNED if you think this bug was assigned correctly. If for work flow reasons you can't do that, then please put OK on the whiteboard instead. @ Oivier What is it like without adding that kernel parameter, in fully updated Mga 1 and/or in fully updated cauldron? Please give version number (s) of the kernel(s) when you reply. Thx :)

I'm sorry, but I can't reproduce it: my laptop just died :( So I have no hardware to retest it. The kernel version number is in the RPM package: kernel-desktop586-2.6.38.8-4.mga-1-1.mga1 I suggest to RESOLVE this bug as OLD. In case someone find this bug while searching for a similar issue, he can reopen it.
Ok thanks.
