Description of problem: Trying to cconfigure DNS server using MCC fails Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Alwaaays Steps to Reproduce: 1.Have an updated M8 Alpha1 2.Install drakwizard 3.Use this one to setup DNS server: choose primary server and use domain name from FQDN of the PC. This will install bind. 4. Reboot to be sure named starts OK from boot. 5. Checked with systemctl CGroup: /system.slice/named.service └─39191 /usr/sbin/named -u named -c /etc/named.conf 6. Use MCC to add two records to the server. 7. Use MCC - Network to make sure the PC is pointed to as its own primary DNS source. 8. Restart the named service. 9. Try nslookup for the names defined above: it does not see the DNS server. 10. Checked conf files: named conf is in /etc, not in /etc/named as it used to be. Points to /var/named for files. But neither in /etc or in /var (and their folders) I see the zone files. I would prefer to have named in its chroot environment as webmin chooses by default, but that is a secondary issue.
Thanks for the report, Herman. Assigning to the 'tools' team, CC tv the registered & recent drakwizard maintainer (if that is the relevant SRPM).
