Description of problem: Oxygen sounds should be available in a standalone RPM, like in OpenSuse and Ubuntu, for other DE without needing to install all KDE Frameworks on system as dependencies. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mageia 7.1 and Cauldron How reproducible: # dnf install oxygen It installs all KDE Frameworks, only to have KDE sound artworks for other DE like XFCE. Expected behaviour: A standalone RPM package with only *.ogg files in /usr/share/sounds/. Regards,
> It installs all KDE Frameworks I tried: $ urpmq --requires-recursive oxygen | grep KDE $ urpmq --requires-recursive oxygen | grep kde kdecoration so am unsure of the claim. Can you say what desktop you are using? And are you able to provide a log or console output from the dnf command to illustrate your point? I cannot try it without dismantling my system. There are 13 qt5 recursive dependencies, and the pkg provides a few qt5 & KDE things: /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kstyle_oxygen_config.so /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/org.kde.kdecoration2/oxygendecoration.so /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/styles/oxygen.so /usr/share/icons/KDE_Classic/* There are some 50 sound files, but it is not for me to judge the feasibility of the request. Assigning your suggestion for comment at least to oxygen maintainers neoclust & DavidG.

(In reply to Lewis Smith from comment #1) I use XFCE desktop environment. I will provide dnf output tonight after work.
Fixed in next oxygen-5.19.2-2.mga8 update!
(In reply to David GEIGER from comment #3) > Fixed in next oxygen-5.19.2-2.mga8 update! Freshly installed Mageia 8 alpha1 and updated with XFCE desktop, oxygen sounds are available without needing all KDE Frameworks. Great job well done! Have lot of fun! Closing bug.
