This is one of the nicest, lightest weight music players around which has not been updated in the last two years.

Version 1.8.4 was released a few days ago, and this would be good to have in Mageia 8.

Fedora spec file

I am attaching the Fedora 33 spec file for deadbeef 1.8.3. from a quick glance it appears there is an added dependency and build dependency or two. I also do not know if the patch in the current deadbeef Mageia srpm is still needed.

Thank you for the information. Since we provide this package, this request is very just for M8. Quite a jump from 0.7.2 to 1.8.4 .

This has no evident maintainer, so assigning it globally.
