This is better: https://delta.chat/en/help#what-is-delta-chat " What is Delta Chat? Delta Chat is a new chat app that sends messages via e-mails" "you can write to every existing e-mail address" and makes it clear that participants need an e-mail address. So what is the advantage of this application over straight e-mail?

The advantage is the same, that communication is more instantaneous, like more conversation, than email, but with the advantage that the conversation remains registered in a folder of the email account. I had seen that, and was far from convinced. It looks like just a specialised e-mail client. I will launch this in the usual way, but draw your attention to the last bit. ------------- Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.
