Description of problem: With Samsung S8 plus phone running kde-connect (its version 1.13 showing in android Settings -> apps) and kdeconnect version 1.3.4_2.mga7 on M7 x86_64, popup copies of SMS messages are presented on the PC screen. Can reply to SMS from computer keyboard. Useful. What is a total pain is the quite random occurrence of various numbers of duplicates of those pop-up windows on Mageia screen. Driving both me and my wife (on her own M7) to distraction. Sometimes there are only 3 or 4 duplicates, but see attached screenshot of my wife's PC just now. I individually click-closed 120 of these pop-ups, the last 15 or so were on top of each other in the lower right corner of screen after all the available real-estate had been taken. This is not new; M6 did the same. Haven't tested with M8alpha1 yet. Help! Thank you for reporting this; and the screenshot. Did you try the KDE forum? > This is not new; M6 did the same = ancient; better to complain sooner! A quick Internet search on this did not show anything similar, plenty on kdeconnect-kde itself. Assigning to the KDE team; CC'ing DavidG as the SRPM committer.

This is solved in Mageia 8 with kdeconnect-kde-20.12.0-1.mga8 This can be tested. Phone must be unpaired, then paired.
