Hello,

When the plasma-applet-nm-* related to vpn connexion ( l2tp, forissl, vpnc, etc...) are installed, configuration option is not displayed if plasma-applet-nm-openvpn is not installed.

But this package is not required when installing other plasma-applet-nm-* packages related to vpn protocols.

Seems the vpn connexion tools is displayed only if the /usr/share/kservicetypes5/plasma-networkmanagement-vpnuiplugin.desktop file (and dependencies) is installed, and this is only installed by the plasma-applet-nm-openvpn package.

Thank you for this helpful bug report. Another dependency thingy.
Can we take it that if you install 'plasma-applet-nm-openvpn' the problem is resolved?

These are the various related packages (in just the one SRPM):
 plasma-applet-nm
 plasma-applet-nm-fortisslvpnui
 plasma-applet-nm-l2tp
 plasma-applet-nm-openconnect
 plasma-applet-nm-openvpn
 plasma-applet-nm-pptp
 plasma-applet-nm-ssh
 plasma-applet-nm-vpnc

Assigning to the KDE team.

Hello,

Yes.

When the plasma-applet-nm-openvpn is installed, all other vpn choices are displayed ( if corresponding plasma-applet-nm-* is installed) otherwise they are not displayed (the only available choice is to configure manually a vpn connexion).

Yes I already fixed this packaging issue for Cauldron, this issue come from the file "/usr/share/kservicetypes5/plasma-networkmanagement-vpnuiplugin.desktop" who should be in the main plasma-applet-nm package and not into plasma-applet-nm-openvpn sub-package.

So should be fixed with plasma-nm-5.15.4-1.1.mga7 in Core/Updates_testing repo!
