Comment 3 Thomas Andrews 2020-04-21 22:43:06 CEST
MGA7-64 on Intel equipment, Plasma system.

Packages installed cleanly. Extension pack downloaded and installed/updated without incident.

Tried a Windows XP guest, and found that Mageia Bug 24696 is still in effect, an upstream bug preventing downloading and inserting guest additions from the GUI. Guest additions iso downloaded manually, and installed by mounting it in the virtual optical drive.

Other than that, so far, so good. XP guest operates as normally as XP ever does. I have not yet tried any Mageia guests.

Comment 4 Morgan Leijström 2020-04-22 01:02:56 CEST
mga7-64 OK
Plasma, Nvidia. My machine "svarten": Mainboard: Sabertooth P67, CPU: i7-3770, RAM 16G, Nvidia GTX760 (GK104) using nvidia-current
I also have Nvidia-current and the firmwares from testing.

Installed
- dkms-virtualbox-6.0.20-1.mga7.noarch
- virtualbox-6.0.20-1.mga7.x86_64
- virtualbox-kernel-5.5.15-desktop-3.mga7-6.0.20-1.mga7.x86_64
- virtualbox-kernel-desktop-latest-6.0.20-1.mga7.x86_64

-reboot-

$ sudo dkms status
virtualbox, 6.0.20-1.mga7, 5.5.15-desktop-3.mga7, x86_64: installed
nvidia-current, 430.64-8.mga7.nonfree, 5.5.15-desktop-3.mga7, x86_64: installed
virtualbox, 6.0.20-1.mga7, 5.5.15-desktop-3.mga7, x86_64: installed-binary from 5.5.15-desktop-3.mga7

Went to
  http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/6.0.20
And fetched
  Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-6.0.20vbox-extpack
And then
$ sudo VBoxManage extpack install --replace that-extension-pack

From same folder also fetched
  VBoxGuestAdditions_6.0.20.iso
And in virtualbox guest settings I selected that file for disk in the optical media.

Booted my existing MSW7p-64 guest. Tests OK:
Installed the guest additions from the "CD", and rebooted guest
Dynamically resizing guest window by mouse
  Shared clipboard, bidirectional
  Shared folders bidirectional copying
USB2: flash stick and Brother label printer
Sound, Internet, performance: playing video in Firefox while host is heavily loaded.

Comment 9 Thomas Andrews 2020-04-22 17:39:45 CEST
Updated the guest additions in a Mageia 7 64-bit Plasma guest. No installation issues. Restarted the guest, and everything seemed to work, including shared folders.

Looks OK here.
