This comes faster than I wanted, but with enough issues for endusers I think its needed... More security related fixes, a minor WireGuard update, fixing and re-enabling ndiswrapper that I temporarily disabled on update to 5.5 series kernels, and forgot to fix and re-enble (mga #26430), and I've dropped conflicts on fuse-exfat for now as some have problem with the in-kernel exfat driver so they can use their systems until I get time to check out the exfat stuff... This is running fine on a Skylake Intel Core i9-7900X workstation with nvidia graphics but there were a couple of hitches before it would boot. First and second tries came up in desktop-5.15.1 and ended up with nouveau graphics. After running `drakboot --boot` with 15.5.2 selected it booted OK. $ uname -r 5.5.15-desktop-2.mga7 No more problems.
Putting on hold, I need to add a fix to the exfat driver, so a new kernel is coming

So, the fixed kernel is now there: And the only change between 5.5.15-2 and 5.5.15-3 is adding a missing module alias in the exfat module, so all already done tests are valid, and per comment 6 the exfat fix is confirmed to work too SRPMS: kernel-5.5.15-3.mga7.src.rpm kmod-virtualbox-6.0.18-11.mga7.src.rpm kmod-xtables-addons-3.8-11.mga7.src.rpm ndiswrapper-1.62-3.mga7.src.rpm i586: bpftool-5.5.15-3.mga7.i586.rpm cpupower-5.5.15-3.mga7.i586.rpm cpupower-devel-5.5.15-3.mga7.i586.rpm dkms-ndiswrapper-1.62-3.mga7.noarch.rpm kernel-desktop-5.5.15-3.mga7-1-1.mga7.i586.rpm kernel-desktop586-5.5.15-3.mga7-1-1.mga7.i586.rpm kernel-desktop586-devel-5.5.15-3.mga7-1-1.mga7.i586.rpm kernel-desktop586-devel-latest-5.5.15-3.mga7.i586.rpm kernel-desktop586-latest-5.5.15-3.mga7.i586.rpm kernel-desktop-devel-5.5.15-3.mga7-1-1.mga7.i586.rpm kernel-desktop-devel-latest-5.5.15-3.mga7.i586.rpm kernel-desktop-latest-5.5.15-3.mga7.i586.rpm kernel-doc-5.5.15-3.mga7.noarch.rpm kernel-server-5.5.15-3.mga7-1-1.mga7.i586.rpm kernel-server-devel-5.5.15-3.mga7-1-1.mga7.i586.rpm kernel-server-devel-latest-5.5.15-3.mga7.i586.rpm kernel-server-latest-5.5.15-3.mga7.i586.rpm kernel-source-5.5.15-3.mga7-1-1.mga7.noarch.rpm kernel-source-latest-5.5.15-3.mga7.noarch.rpm kernel-userspace-headers-5.5.15-3.mga7.i586.rpm libbpf0-5.5.15-3.mga7.i586.rpm libbpf-devel-5.5.15-3.mga7.i586.rpm perf-5.5.15-3.mga7.i586.rpm virtualbox-kernel-5.5.15-desktop-3.mga7-6.0.18-11.mga7.i586.rpm virtualbox-kernel-5.5.15-desktop586-3.mga7-6.0.18-11.mga7.i586.rpm virtualbox-kernel-5.5.15-server-3.mga7-6.0.18-11.mga7.i586.rpm virtualbox-kernel-desktop586-latest-6.0.18-11.mga7.i586.rpm virtualbox-kernel-desktop-latest-6.0.18-11.mga7.i586.rpm virtualbox-kernel-server-latest-6.0.18-11.mga7.i586.rpm xtables-addons-kernel-5.5.15-desktop-3.mga7-3.8-11.mga7.i586.rpm xtables-addons-kernel-5.5.15-desktop586-3.mga7-3.8-11.mga7.i586.rpm xtables-addons-kernel-5.5.15-server-3.mga7-3.8-11.mga7.i586.rpm xtables-addons-kernel-desktop586-latest-3.8-11.mga7.i586.rpm xtables-addons-kernel-desktop-latest-3.8-11.mga7.i586.rpm xtables-addons-kernel-server-latest-3.8-11.mga7.i586.rpm ndiswrapper-1.62-3.mga7.i586.rpm x86_64: bpftool-5.5.15-3.mga7.x86_64.rpm cpupower-5.5.15-3.mga7.x86_64.rpm cpupower-devel-5.5.15-3.mga7.x86_64.rpm dkms-ndiswrapper-1.62-3.mga7.noarch.rpm kernel-desktop-5.5.15-3.mga7-1-1.mga7.x86_64.rpm kernel-desktop-devel-5.5.15-3.mga7-1-1.mga7.x86_64.rpm kernel-desktop-devel-latest-5.5.15-3.mga7.x86_64.rpm kernel-desktop-latest-5.5.15-3.mga7.x86_64.rpm kernel-doc-5.5.15-3.mga7.noarch.rpm kernel-server-5.5.15-3.mga7-1-1.mga7.x86_64.rpm kernel-server-devel-5.5.15-3.mga7-1-1.mga7.x86_64.rpm kernel-server-devel-latest-5.5.15-3.mga7.x86_64.rpm kernel-server-latest-5.5.15-3.mga7.x86_64.rpm kernel-source-5.5.15-3.mga7-1-1.mga7.noarch.rpm kernel-source-latest-5.5.15-3.mga7.noarch.rpm kernel-userspace-headers-5.5.15-3.mga7.x86_64.rpm lib64bpf0-5.5.15-3.mga7.x86_64.rpm lib64bpf-devel-5.5.15-3.mga7.x86_64.rpm perf-5.5.15-3.mga7.x86_64.rpm virtualbox-kernel-5.5.15-desktop-3.mga7-6.0.18-11.mga7.x86_64.rpm virtualbox-kernel-5.5.15-server-3.mga7-6.0.18-11.mga7.x86_64.rpm virtualbox-kernel-desktop-latest-6.0.18-11.mga7.x86_64.rpm virtualbox-kernel-server-latest-6.0.18-11.mga7.x86_64.rpm xtables-addons-kernel-5.5.15-desktop-3.mga7-3.8-11.mga7.x86_64.rpm xtables-addons-kernel-5.5.15-server-3.mga7-3.8-11.mga7.x86_64.rpm xtables-addons-kernel-desktop-latest-3.8-11.mga7.x86_64.rpm xtables-addons-kernel-server-latest-3.8-11.mga7.x86_64.rpm ndiswrapper-1.62-3.mga7.x86_64.rpm

Something very odd happening here. Installed the new desktop kernel on the Intel Core i7-4790, nvidia GeForce GTX 970/PCIe/SSE2. It rebooted quite happily but on checking virtualbox-kernel was installed against the previous kernel, 5.5.15-2 and xtables-addons was version 3.8.10. Fiddled about for a while trying to reach the latest versions but failed. Regression compared to 5.5.14 , 64 bit: Suspend fail on my Dell precision M4400 Last two lines in log (from journalctl -b -1 next boot): systemd [1]: Reached target Sleep. systemd [1]: Starting Suspend... System is completely dead, not responding to any key combination, but keyboard and power lamp are still lit. Need power button to shut off. This is critical as user may loose work. I have tried 5.5.15-3 four times, always fail. 5.5.14 more times, never fail. Should i make a new bug, or we continue here?
