Description of problem: Kernel rpm / dnf scriptlet reported that it could not find the bootloader and only generated an initrd. I am on mageia v8 x86-64 with a non-EFI/UEFI BIOS-based machine using grub2. Have you changed anything in your system regarding the bootloader ? There has been no changes for ages in kernel scripts
