x86_64 Intel Core i7-4790, NVIDIA GM204 [GeForce GTX 970], Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet driver: r8169 Ouch! That did not go well at all. At reboot the nvidia-current driver was rebuilt and then the system hung forever. CtlAltDel rebooted the machine and the nvidia-current driver was rebuilt resulting in another hangup. Logged in to a virtual console, 'su -' then XFdrake. Chose the nouveau driver and restarted. That booted successfully to the desktop, which is running normally.
