We currently provide darktable 2.6.x in Mageia 7 (2.6.2 in Core Release, 2.6.3 in Core Updates once bug 25993 is validated). Version 3.0.0 was just released and will be beneficial to many darktable users, but to ensure that we don't disrupt any workflows, we provide it as a backport. Advisory: ========= Updated darktable package brings new 3.0 version This update brings Darktable 3.0.0 to Mageia 7, allowing users to benefit from the many new features and bug fixes of this new version. See the release notes for details on changes. Tested in a 64-bit Mageia 7 Plasma VirtualBox VM. All packages installed cleanly. Running the app, I was able to import images from the hard drive and a Canon Powershot A540 camera, and use various tools to manipulate them. I am by no means an expert with this, as that would take weeks of study and experimentation. But, I see nothing to prevent it from being validated.

I see the same that comment 1. I've tried the version 3.0 in Mageia 7 Plasma 64 bits. Works fine, I use tools, efects, and import images. I think that ok it for validate. Greetings!
