Description Ethan Merritt 2019-12-29 09:05:27 CET
Description of problem:
When playback is resumed after a pause
1) the audio suffers from crackle and stutter
2) subsequent pause/resume may hang the program
3) skipping forward or back in the audio track fixes the problem

It is likely that this is the same problem reported and fixed upstream:
   https://github.com/clementine-player/Clementine/pull/6442

The upstream tracker reports that a fix went in 11 Nov 2019
Can we get an updated mga7 rpm that includes this fix?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.3.1-10.git20191016

How reproducible:
Not 100% but happens often

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start playlist in Clementine
2. pause output using either hotkey or mouse
3. wait a while
4. resume playback

Assigning to QA,

Advisory:
========================

This update fixes the track change hang and additionally setting properties on the queue2 element so it does not cause pause to hang.

Comment 4 Thomas Andrews 2020-01-03 21:09:46 CET
Was unable to reproduce the fault, but the reporter does say that it doesn't always happen.

Updated Clementine, and the package installed cleanly. Played some mp3s, paused and resumed, switched tracks, no issues noted.

Since the reporter says his issue has been resolved, and I don't see any new ones, giving this the OK for 64-bits.

Validating. AQdvisory in Comment 3.
