MGA7-64 Plasma on Lenovo B50 No installation issues Ref to bug 25728 Comment 3 for tests I've run tests on wireshark in the past, so I hoped I could do something here, but I failed to find the mclient.py module in the site Len mentioned.

@Herman re comment 1: Lost the trail tp mclient.py but fond the code in one of my test directories. Unfortunately it is copyrighted under the Eclipse Public Licence and I do not know what the legal status is regarding attaching it to this bug but the Free Software Foundation lists it as a free software licence (source Wikipedia) so here goes.

Created attachment 11448 [details] Client program for mosquitto broker
I am not really sure of this test. When I run it literally with the commands as Len showed. i.e. with broker address 192.168.1.62, this is probably his local address of his testing machine, I see in wireshark packages with that address as destination, but that does not really test the subject because that address does not exist onmy LAN, So I change the address to my own 192.168.2.5 When i then run the sript, I see different packages which contain "Homeplug-AV". looking this up in Google I get in Wikipedia "various power line communications specifications" and I read in the script client.publish( "house/main-light", "OFF" ) # publish The packages are broadcasts, so my guess is the broker does it. If Len agrees, I'm in for an OK.
Those results ring a bell Herman so just go ahead with the OK.
