Description Christian Müller 2019-12-07 09:23:24 CET
Description of problem:

Since the latest updates (x86-64) from 12-06 plasma is unusable on my box. It crashes immediately after launching almost any application, with output of journalctl like this:

Comment 3 Thomas Backlund 2019-12-07 15:09:26 CET
Advisory:
The QT 5.12.6 update released in MGASA-2019-0356, causes plasma-workspace
to crash due to an upstream ABI breakage that causes infinite recursion
in component creation.

This update ajusts plasma-workspace to work with the updated QT stack.

Comment 5 Alexander Krylov 2019-12-07 15:17:24 CET
Tested with updated plasma-workspace no more crashes observed. Seems Ok.
Comment 6 Thomas Backlund 2019-12-07 15:35:16 CET
Tested x86_64 by José Jorge as reported in https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25651#c36

Test in comment 5 is also x86_64

so 2 tests ok on x86_64.

Setting as OK and flushing out

Only been using it for less than an hour, but it does indeed seem to be fixed...

> That didn't take long...

Yeah, since there was 2 confirmations on the fix, I decided to flush it out fast to try and avoid breakages for users that have installed the QT update yet ...
